UMW Men’s Swimming Falls at Gettysburg, 158-104

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team fell at Gettysburg College, 158-104, on Saturday afternoon in Gettysburg, PA. The Eagles slip to 7-2 overall. 

UMW took first in the 400 yard relay with a team that consisted of Luke Bergstrom, Jeff Leckrone, Thomas Leckrone, and Brian Harnish. Jeff Leckrone placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 58.23, 200 yard breaststroke at 2:07.33, and also placed third in the 100 yard butterfly.

Austin Farrar secured a first place finish in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.13 and 200 yard IM with a time 1:57.35. Farrar also brought home a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle event. Harnish won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 47.93.

The Eagles will be back in the pool on February 14th when they travel to St. Mary's for the CAC Championships.
