UMW Men's Swimming in Second Place After Day One at Gettysburg Invite

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team finds itself in second place after session one of the Gettysburg College Invitational on Friday night.

The Eagles started with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay, as Matthew Curran, Jeff Leckrone, Thomas Leckrone, and Garrett Ross finished at 1:33.95. Junior Austin Farrar finished second in the 200 yard backstroke at 1:54.17, with Noah Carpenter taking fourth and Gareth Mancini fifth.

Sophomore Brian Harnish finished third in the 100 yard freestyle at 47.20, and Jeffrey Leckrone took first in the 200 breaststroke at 2:03.15. 

The meet will continue on Saturday.
