UMW Men's Swimming Opens 2018 by Topping Salisbury, 133-72

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team opened the 2018 portion of its schedule on Saturday, and defeated Salisbury University by a score of 133-72. 

The Eagles opened with a 1-2 finish in the 200 meter medley relay, as Carsen Mumford, Mark Dye, Jeffrey Leckrone, and Garrett Ross took first at 1:50.55. Austin Farrar won the 800 meter freestyle at 8:53.27, and Kolin Hoffman won the 200 free at 2:02.00.

Ross followed with a win in the 50 free at 24.63, and Noah Carpenter was first in the 100 fly as the Eagles finished 1-2-3. Brian Harnish won the 100 free at 55.68, and Farrar won the 400 free at 4:19.19. Mark Dye took first in the 100 yard breaststroke, as the Eagles finished 1-2-3.

UMW will be back in action on Monday when they host Marymount University at noon.
