UMW Men's Swimming Tops Frostburg, Roanoke, and Ferrum on Friday Night

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team gained wins at Frostburg State University over the Bobcats, Roanoke College, and Ferrum University on Friday night to improve to 5-1 on the season.

UMW gained wins in the 200 meter medley relay, as Luke Bergstrom, Mark Dye, Jeffrey Leckrone, and Garrett Ross touched first at 1:51.95. Noah Carpenter won the 200 meter individual medley at 2:20.27, Austin Farrar won the 200 meter freestyle at 2:02.46, and Bergstrom won the 50 meter backstroke at 29.61. Carpenter won the 100 butterfly at 1:02.57, Ross won the 50 freestyle at 25.29, and Brian Harnish won the 100 freestyle at 55.49.

Farrar won the 400 meter freestyle at 4:25.60, Dye won the 100 IM at 1:03.52, and the 200 free relay of Harnish, Ross, Matthew Scott, and Farrar won at 1:41.63.

The Eagles will host Barton College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
