UMW Men's Swimming Opens with Split at Washington & Lee with Centre

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team split its dual-dual opener at Washington & Lee University on Friday night, topping Centre College, 198-64, and falling to the Generals, 193-69.

Winners for the Eagles included Jeffrey Leckrone in the 100 yard breaststroke at 58.13 as well as the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:11.12. Second place finishes belonged to the 200 medley relay team of Leckrone, Mark Dye, Kolin Hoffman, and Garrett Ross, at 1:39.52, Carsen Mumford in the 100 backstroke at 55.62 and in the 200 backstroke at 2:02.88.

The Eagles will be back in action on October 20 when they host Randolph-Macon College at 5:00 p.m.
