UMW Men's Swimmers Continue to Shine at CAC Championships on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's swim team moved closer to its 17th consecutive Capital Athletic Conference championship on Staurday, with many top swims.

The 200 medley relay started the night, with Carsen Mumford, Mark Dye, Dallas Tarkenton, and Garrett Ross winning at 1:33.70. In the 400 individual medley, freshman Austin Farrar finished first at 4:05.03, and was followed by Noah Carpenter in second, Mumford in third, and Matt Martinez in fourth.

Tarkenton won the 100 yard butterfly at 49.00, after a 48.70 in the prelims. Christian Berardo was third in the event. Jake Schroth won the 200 freestyle at 1:42.51, with Dylan Gore third and Tyler Gimple fourth. Chris Cassingham was sixth and Jeremy Robertson seventh.

Freshman Mark Dye was second in the 100 breastsroke at 57.34, while Kenyon Huber-Wilker took third and Jeffrey Leckrone finished fourth.

The 800 yard free relay team finished first with a time of 6:56.53. That team consisted of Farrar, Huber-Wilker, Gore, and Gimple.
