UMW Men's Swimming Tops Salisbury, 141-64, on Thursday in CAC Meet

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team stayed undefeated in Capital Athletic Conference action on Thursday, downing Salisbury University, 141-64.

The 200 medley relay opened the meet with a win, and was followed by freshman Austin Farrar with a first in the 1000 freestyle at 10:07.60. Tyler Gimple and Jake Schroth went 1-2 in the 200 freestyle, and Jeffrey Leckrone and Christian Berardo followed suit in the 200 yard IM.

Dallas Tarkenton won the 100 yard butterfly by a margin of six seconds, and Mark Dye won the 100 freestyle at 50.14. Gimple won the 500 freestyle at 4:51.05, and Kenyon Huber-Wilker, Dye, and Kleigh Koupal went 1-2-3 in the 100 breaststroke before the 200 free relay took top honors at 1:31.10.

Mary Washington will be back in action on Saturday when they visit Gettysburg College at 1:00 p.m.
