UMW Men's Swimmers Tops Marymount, 157-75, in Saturday CAC Action

The University of Mary Washington men's swim team defeated Marymount University, 157-75, on Saturday afternoon in Arlington, Va. The Eagles improve to 3-0 on the season.

The Eagles gained a win in the 200 medley relay, as Dallas Tarkenton, Mark Dye, Christian Berardo, and Garrett Ross touched first at 1:39.10. Other winners included Tyler Gimple in the 1000 freestyle at 10:14.06, Austin Farrar in the 200 freestyle at 1:47.31, Carson Mumford in the 100 backstroke at 56.20, and Dye in the 100 breaststroke at 1:00.79.

Berardo won the 200 butterfly at 2:02.24, Noah Carpenter in the 200 backstroke at 2:04.05, Kleigh Koupal in the 200 breaststroke at 2:15.83, Farrar in the 500 free at 4:52.04, Tarkenton in the 100 fly at 51.85, and Carpenter in the 200 IM at 2:03.36. The 200 free relay of Dye, Tarkenton, Gimple, and Ross touched first at 1:27.86.

UMW will be back in action when they visit Johns Hopkins University with Franklin & Marshall College at 6:00 p.m.
