Dallas Tarkenton Gains All-America Honors with Eighth Place Finish in 100 Butterfly at NCAA Swimming Championships

University of Mary Washington junior Dallas Tarkenton finished in eighth place in the 100 yard butterfly at the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming Championships in Greensboro, N.C. on Thursday night.

Tarkenton set a new conference and school record in his morning preliminary swim (48.55), and capped the evening with an eighth place time of 49.09.

He becomes the 11th All-American in program history, and gives UMW an All-American swimmer for the men for the fifth straight year.
