UMW Men's Swimmers Top Salisbury, 168-75, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's swim team downed Salisbury University, 168-75, on Saturday afternoon in Salisbury.

The Eagles opened by finishing 1-2 in the 200 medley relay, with Sean Mayer, Kenyon Huber-Wilker, Dallas Tarkenton, and Vance Solseth taking first at 1:50.31. Senior Zach Eisig took first in the 800 freestyle at 9:09.40, as the Eagles finished 1-2-3, and Tyler Gimple won the 200 freestyle at 2:00.65.

Mayer took second in the 100 backstroke at 1:00.37, and Jeffrey Leckrone won the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.79, as the Eagles grabbed the top three finishes. Tarkenton won the 200 butterfly at 2:14.06, ahead of second place Nate Hartt, and Solseth took second in the 50 freestyle at 25.20 and the 100 free at 55.44.

Dylan Gore won the 200 backstroke at 2:14.16, and Leckrone won the 200 breaststroke at 2:35.39, as UMW finished 1-2-3. Gimple won the 400 freestyle at 4:22.27, with Eisig taking second and Chris Cassingham third. 

Tarkenton won the 100 fly at 57.81, with Mayer second and Christian Berardo third. Tarkenton, Matt Garstka, Jake Schroth, and Solseth won the 200 free relay at 1:39.62 to close the day.

The Eagles will return to action next Saturday when they host St. Mary's College at 1:00 p.m. in another CAC dual meet.
