UMW Men's Swimmers Finish Second at Gettysburg Invite

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team finished in second at the Gettysburg College Invitational on Saturday with 908 points, trailing only the host Bullets' 965 points.

Junior Dallas Tarkenton finished first in the 100 yard butterfly with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 49.60. The 800 free relay of Sean Mayer, Kenyon Huber-Wilker, Zach Eisig and Tyler Gimple finished second at 6:57.80, with Huber-Wilker taking second in the 100 breaststroke at 58.78. Anthony Stephens was second in the 400 IM at 4:18.09.

Gimple finished first in the 500 freestyle at 4:40.68, while Eisig took second at 4:45.49. Tarkenton won the 200 IM at 1:54.41, with Ricardo Bonilla-Vazquez taking second at 1:57.11. The men's 400medley relay finished second, at 3:33.42.

The Eagles will be off until after New Year's, as they will return to action on January 9 at Salisbury University at 1:00 p.m.
