UMW Men's Swimmers Fall to Washington & Lee, 160-102, in Season Opener

The University of Mary Washington men's swim team dropped a 160-102 decision to visiting Washington & Lee University on Friday evening at Goolrick Natatorium.

The Eagles opened the meet with a win in the 200 yard medley relay, consisting of Sean Mayer, Kenyon Huber-Wilker, Dallas Tarkenton, and Matt Garstka, at 1:37.99. Huber-Wilker finished first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:01.58, followed in second by Jeffrey Leckrone at 1:02.46.

Huber-Wilker tripled up in wins with a victory in the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:14.10, followed by Leckrone in second at 2:18.10. Freshman Ricardo Bonilla-Vazquez won the 200 IM at 2:00.61.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they visit Catholic University at 1:00 p.m.
