YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington senior Alex Anderson was named the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for Feb. 3, 2015.

Mary Washington senior Alex Anderson secured CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time this year after capturing a pair of individual wins last weekend. Anderson started his week by winning the lone first-place finish for UMW against Johns Hopkins on Friday in the 100 yard butterfly, with a time of 50.99. He then took first in the 200 IM at 1:51.46 against Marymount and Frostburg on Saturday. His 200 IM time is tops in the CAC this season and eighth in the nation.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

This weekend marked the final tune-up for the CAC Championships for all but one CAC squad ... Mary Washington completed its perfect 5-0 CAC season with wins over Marymount (152-86) and Frostburg State (173-77) in a Saturday tri-meet in Fredericksburg ... Mary Washington received multiple wins on Saturday from Kenyon Huber-Wilker in the 100-yard breaststroke at 58.69 and the 200-breaststroke at 2:13.67 and Vance Solseth in the 50 freestyle at 22.20 and the 100 free at 49.13 ... Michael Speer collected three silver medals in leading St. Mary's against Catholic in the regular-season finale.
