Alex Anderson Places Second in 200 IM at NCAA Championships on Wednesday Night with 2nd Fastest Time in DIII History

Senior Alex Anderson got his NCAA Division III Swimming Championships off to a flying start on Wednesday, finishing in second place in the 200 yard individual medley, and was one of three swimmers to surpass the old NCAA Division III record in the event. His time of 1:46.46 is the second fastest in NCAA Division III history.

He will continue at the Championships on Thursday, swimming the 400 IM, an event in which he is the two-time defending national champion and NCAA Division III record holder.
