The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team opened the Capital Athletic Conference dual meet season with a 171-95 victory over York College of Pa. on Friday night at Goolrick Natatorium.

The Eagles began the night by winning the 200 yard medley relay, with a time of 1:36.81. That relay consisted of Misha Yelmgren, Kenyon Huber-Wilker, Dallas Tarkenton, and Alex Anderson. The Eagles finished 1-2 in the 1000 freestyle, with Zach Eisig taking first at 10:13.37, and Tyler Gimple in second at 10:14.11.

Rob Ikeda won the 200 freestyle at 1:49.64, followed in second by Chris Cassingham at 1:50.88. Yelmgren won the 100 backstroke at 53.57, and Nate Hartt won the 200 butterfly at 2:04.72. Anderson won the 50 freestyle at 21.28, Tarkenton won the 100 freestyle at 49.13, with Sean Mayer taking second at 50.53.

Eisig won the 500 free at 4:58.55, followed in second by Cassingham at 5:03.49. Anderson won the 100 fly at 50.75, followed by Yelmgren at 52.80, and Gimple at 56.20. The 200 free relay of Anderson, Gimple, Mayer, and Matt Martinez won at 1:28.76.

The Eagles will swim again on November 8 at Randolph-Macon College at noon.
