Eagles Fall to Gettysburg, 162-99, on Saturday

Gettysburg, Pa.-- The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team suffered their second loss of the year to the Bullets, 162-99, on Saturday. Gettysburg won majority of the races on their way to the win. The Eagles fall to 6-2 on the year.

UMW won the first relay of the day in the 200 Medley Relay. The quartet of Sean Mayer, Vance Solseth, Dallas Tarkenton, and Henry Bassett took first with a time of 1:37.49. 

Alex Anderson was the big winner of the day, winning three races for the Eagles. Anderson started in the 50 Free, winning with a time of 21.30. He followed that up with a win in the 100 Free witha time of 47.15. He followed that up in the 200 IM. He took first with a time of 1:55.21. Bassett won the other race for the Eagles on the day in the 100 Back, with a time of 52.83.

The Eagles return to action Friday, January 31st with a home meet against Johns Hopkins. The meet begins at 6:00 p.m.
