UMW Races Past St. Mary's (Md.), 126-78, on Senior Day

Fredericksburg, Va.-- The University of Mary Washington men's swim team defeated St. Mary's (Md.) 126-78 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles won both relays and six individual races to take the victory. The win moves the Eagles to 6-1, 3-0 in CAC play this year.

UMW won both relays on the day in the 200 Medley and 200 Free. The quartet of Sean Mayer, Vance Solseth, Dallas Tarkenton, and Henry Bassett won the 200 Medley in a time of 1:37.04. Bassett and Solseth teamed up with Alex Anderson and Mike Hudgins to win the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:26.64.

The Eagles won six individual events, started off by Zach Eisig. Eisig won the 1000 Free with a time of 10:14.47. Tyler GImple followed that up with a win in the 200 Free in a time of 1:49.09.

Other Eagles winners included Hudgins in the 50 Free (22.44), Anderson in the 200 Fly (1:53.12), Bassett in the 100 Free (48.51), and Mayer in the 200 Back (2:01.30).

The Eagles return to the pool next Saturday, January 25th, when they head to Gettysburg for a meet at 1:00 p.m.
