Men's Swimming Ends Gettysburg Invitational on High Note

Gettysburg, Pa.-- Day two of the Gettysburg Invitational saw the Eagles finish in third place with 723 points. The Eagles were behind Johns Hopkins and Gettysburg, and ahead of Dickinson. 

Session one saw the Eagles gain many top three finishes. Alex Anderson continued his strong weekend with a win in the 100 Fly, with a time of 50.08. Fellow Eagle Dallas Tarkenton finished third in the event at 50.94. Sean Mayer and Henry Bassett took first and third respectively in the 100 Back at 51.15 and 51.76. The 200 Medley Relay team of Sean Mayer, Vance Solseth, Tarkenton and Bassett finished in third with a time of 1:35.48.

The second session saw the quartet of Anderson, Bassett, Solseth, and Matthew Garstka finished third in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:25.40. Tyler Gimple earned a second place finish in the 500 Free. Gimple finished in 4:41.09. Anderson got a third place finish in the 50 Free (21.18) and also teamed with Mayer, Don Tucker, and Bassett for a third place finish in the 400 Medley Relay (3:26.02).

The Eagles return to the pool January 11th, when they host CAC foe Salisbury starting at 1:00 p.m.
