Eagles Have Impressive Day at Gettysburg Invitational

Gettysburg, Pa.-- The UMW men's swim team competed in day one of the Gettysburg Invitational on Friday. A number of Eagles placed in the top three of the 12 events on day one. Competing teams include the host Bullets, Johns Hopkins, UMW, and Dickinson.

Anderson picked up another individual victory in the 200 Fly, with a time of 1:50.44, a full three second ahead of second place. Anderson teamed up with Dallas Tarkenton, Vance Solseth and Henry Bassett to finish second in the 400 Free Relay. The quartet finished with a time of 3:07.53, just behind the team from host Gettysburg. 

Other Eagle finishers include Don Tucker, who earned a second place finish in the 200 Back, with a time of 2:10.42. Zach Eisig was a third palce finisher in the 1650 Free. Eisig finished the distance event in a time of 16:35.33. 

The Eagles return to the pool for day two of the Gettysburg Invitational tomorrow, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
