York, Pa.-- The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team won their conference opener against the Spartans on Friday evening. The Eagles won all but two events to run away with a 186-76 victory. The win improves UMW to 2-1, 1-0 CAC.

The Eagles were paced by Alex Anderson, won the 200 Breast (2:08.64) as well as the 50 Free (21.08) and swam the third leg of the 400 Medley Relay (23.38/3:33.70). Zach Eisig won the 1000 Free with a time of 10:25.25. Rob Ikeda and Vance Solseth finished one and two respectively in the 200 Free with times of 1:48.41 and 1:50.09. 

The Eagles return to action on Saturday, November 9th. UMW hosts Randolph-Macon in the Goolrick Pool, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
