Men's Swimming Opens at Potomac Relays on Friday

Washington, D.C.-- The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team opened up the season at the Potomac Relays, hosted by American University. The competing teams were George Mason, Towson University, Mount St. Mary's University, George Washington University, Georgetown University and host American. 

The men competed in all events, including a fourth place finish in the 500 Free Relay. The quartet of Eagles finished with a time of 4:18.47. The Eagles also picked up a sixth place finish in the 300 Back Relay with a time of 2:43.81. 

The 200 Medley team finished in third place, with a time of 1:36.23 just a second off the leaders from Towson. 

The men's team returns to action on October 12th. The Eagles travel to William & Mary for a meet with the Tribe beginning at 11:00 A.M.
