UMW Men's and Women's Swimming Falls to Washington & Lee

The university of Mary Washington men's and women's swimming teams narrowly dropped a dual meet at Washington & Lee University on Friday night in lexington, Va. The Eagle men fell, 143-119, and the women fell, 133-129.

For the men, winners included Nick Eckhoff in the 200 freestyle at 1:46.58, Peter Slattery in the 100 breaststroke at 1:01.83, Alex Anderson in the 200 yard butterfly at 1:58.05, Eckhoff in the 100 freestyle at 47.35, Anderson in the 200 breaststroke at 2:13.63, Sean Mayer in the 100 butterfly at 54.88, and Anderson in the 200 IM at 1:58.31.

The women saw wins from the 200 medley relay (Lindsay Ancellotti, Hannah Hagy, Amber Kerico, Stephanie Hallock) at 1:53.38, Jessica Singer in the 1000 freestyle at 11:10.78, Hallock in the 200 freestyle at 2:00.14, Kerico in the 100 breaststroke at 1:11.13, Robin Brazier in the 200 backstroke at 2:12.36, Kerico in the 200 breaststroke at 2:28.96, and Brazier in the 200 IM at 2:15.59.

Both teams will return to action on November 2 when they host York College of pa. at 6:00 p.m.
