UMW Swimmers Sweep Salisbury, Marymount in CAC Dual-Dual Meet
The University of Mary Washington men's and women's swimming teams swept a Capital Athletic Conference dual-dual meet with Salisbury University and Marymount University on Saturday at Goolrick Natatorium. The Eagle men downed Salisbury, 135-69 and Marymount, 166-36, while the women topped Salisbury, 146-55, and Marymount, 117-84.

Winners for the women included the 200 medley relay (Kelly Scott, Megan DeSmit, Allison Martin, Riley Scalzo) at 1:56.10; Lindsay Ancellotti in the 1000 freestyle at 11:22.17; Jessica Singer in the 200 freestyle at 2:02.87; Amber Kerico in the 100 butterfly at 1:00.11 and the 100 breaststroke at 1:10.00; and Megan DeSmit in the 500 freestyle at 5:24.33.

The Eagle men saw wins from the 200 medley relay (Nick Eckhoff, Chuck Zumbaugh, Brian O'Donnell, Alex Anderson) at 1:41.72; Jack McHugh in the 1000 freestyle at 10:59.66; Eckhoff in the 200 freestyle at 1:49.35; Peter Slattery in the 50 freestyle at 22.55; Anderson in the 100 butterfly at 51.30; Mike Hudgins in the 100 backstroke at 55.93; Andrew Garofolo in the 500 free at 5:01.09; and the 200 free relay (Matt Arnold, Anderson, Austin Clark, O'Donnell) at 1:29.30.

Mary Washington will return to action on February 4 against the College of William and Mary at 1:00 p.m.
