UMW Swim Teams Split at Washington & Lee
The University of Mary Washington men's and women's swimming teams split their dual meets at Washington & Lee University on Friday night, as the women won by a score of 149.5-112.5, and the men fell, 141-121.

Event winners for the women included the 200 medley relay (Sarah Crockett, Megan DeSmit, Kelly Scott, Adriana Lesiuk) at 1:53.45; Jessica Singer in the 500 freestyle (5:18.85) and the 1000 freestyle (10:56.31); Crockett in the 200 freestyle (1:58.37) and the 200 backstroke (2:12.34); DeSmit in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.64) and the 200 breaststroke (2:31.13); Cameron Figuers in the 200 fly (2:13.72); Lesiuk in the 50 free (25.45) and the 100 free (56.09); and the 200 free relay (Crockett, Caroline DeLuca, Megan DeSmit, Lesiuk) at 1:42.38.

Winners for the men included Andrew Garafolo in the 1000 free (10:29.07); Nick Eckhoff in the 100 backstroke (54.70) and the 500 freestyle (4:58.36); Austin Clark in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.33); Billy Norfolk in the 100 butterfly (52.92) and the 200 butterfly (1:57.19); and Stephen Clendenin in the 200 IM (1:59.84).

Both teams will return to action on October 30 at home against Frostburg State and Randolph-Macon at 1:00 p.m.
