For the third week in a row to open the 2023 season, senior forward Josh Kirkland became the second Eagle to win a Coast-to-Coast Player of the Week. In Friday's 3-1 victory over Hampden-Sydney, Kirkland scored two goals for No. 1 Mary Washington. He netted the game winner in the first 15 minutes and then, once HSC narrowed UMW's lead down to one, 2-1, Kirkland iced the game with his second score of the night in the 85th minute. He shot the ball six times, five of which were on net, against No. 25 Emory in the Eagles' 1-0 victory on Sunday.

Keeper Freddy Rogers earned weekly Honorable Mention honors after he recorded four saves in UMW's second ranked win of the season over No. 25 Emory. He posted his second clean sheet of the season on Sunday in the 1-0 victory. On Friday against Hampden-Sydney, Rogers faced seven shots in UMW's 3-1 win.
