UMW Men's Soccer Draws Dickinson, 1-1, on Wednesday Night

The University of Mary Washington men's soccer team earned a 1-1 tie with Dickinson College on Wednesday evening to move their record to 2-4-2 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, UMW got on the scoreboard first, as sophomore Carlos Mendoza scored on a Riley Fisher assist at 64:48. The Eagles led until the Red Devils scored with 1:24 to tie the score. Neither team was able to find the nets throughout two scoreless overtimes.

Dickinson led in shots, 22-12, and in corner kicks, 11-2. UMW goalie Matt Spencer made 10 saves for the Eagles, while two keepers combined for four saves for Dickinson.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they visit Marymount University in the CAC opener at 7:00 p.m.
