UMW Men's Soccer Falls at Salisbury, 2-0, in CAC Play

The University of Mary Washington men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Salisbury University on Saturday to fall to 4-4 on the season and 0-1 in Capital Athletic Conference play.

The Sea Gulls opened the scoring at 33:15, as Jake Perry scored on a free kick, and Salisbury held the lead at 1-0 at halftime. In the second, the Gulls added an insurance goal at 74:03 as Matt Greene scored unassisted.

Salisbury led in shots, 15-8. UMW goalkeeper Tyler Back had seven saves for the Eagles, while Salisbury's John Vnenchak had one stop in goal.

The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday when they host North Carolina Wesleyan College at 4:00 p.m.
