The UMW men's rugby team traveled to Navy this weekend to take on the number one team in the country in the first round of the D1A playoffs. UMW started off very slowly, trying to feel out the Midshipmen in the first half but just couldn't find a hole in the defense. In the second half with the wind at navy's back, UMW prepared for more kicks, but Cale White and Will Lindsey had the answer with fantastic half field passes and hard straight running. UMW spent most of the second half in Navy's zone but quick turn overs and the pass of the sailors was just to much. The score finished up at 41-7.
