UMW lost yesterday to Belmont Abby 14-7 in the quarterfinals of the national championships ending the team's season. UMW started out strong in the first half even with a man sent off in the first minute. But in the second half, played too much defense and Belmont Abby slipped through. The final kick off of the game lead to some controversy though, with Belmont Abby knocking the ball on and instead of a UMW scrum the referee called full time. But there is a bright future for UMW with no seniors on the team this year, next season is shaping up to be a big one.
