Athletic Accomplishments: As a member of the UMW lacrosse team, Owen played four years of midfield. During those four years Owen was a three-year captain, who made the All-CAC team two times and finished his career with 120 points.

Why UMW: “I chose Mary Washington for several reasons. I think the biggest was because I wanted to challenge myself. From being out of state, I came to UMW not knowing anyone and being completely unfamiliar with the Fredericksburg area. It was an entirely clean slate for me. What made me want to take that chance was because UMW felt like the most genuine and welcoming of any place I’d been in the recruiting process. I believe UMW attracts people that want to have a balanced and enjoyable college experience, which is why it was so easy to get along with everyone from day one. The four years here exceeded my expectations. Whether you come here knowing people or not, you will leave with lifelong friends and experiences you won’t forget.”
