Shipe Leads Five Eagles on All-CLC Men's Lacrosse Teams

All-America junior defender Keegan Shipe led five University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse players who gained recognition on the 2024 Coastal Lacrosse Conference's all-conference teams, released today. Shipe gained first team honors, and juniors Wyatt Martin and Balin Galbraith, sophomore Jacob Fowler, and senior Jackson Popeck were named to the second team.

Shipe turned in another standout season, collecting career-highs with 94 ground balls and 55 caused turnovers in 17 games. He also added three goals and three assists. He repeats as a first team all-conference selection.

Martin gained second team honors in goal. He made 161 saves in 17 games, with a 49.5% save percentage and an 11.01 goals-against average. 

Galbraith gains second team honors at defense, after scoring career highs with 24 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. He also added two goals and an assist.

Fowler repeats as a second team selection at face off, winning 148-256 faceoffs this season, collecting 81 ground balls, and also scored five goals and added five assists in transition.

Popeck gains second team honors for the first time after tying for the team lead with a career high 30 goals and 17 assists for 47 points. He also scooped up 25 ground balls.
