Five different players scored mutliple goals for the University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team on Saturday in a 15-10 victory over Marymount University for Senior Day in the regular season finale at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 8-7 overall and 5-3 in Capital Athletic Conference play.

The Eagles started strong from the opening faceoff, building a 10-1 lead by halftime. Drew Carlson started the scoring with 12:35 left in the first quarter on a Miles Davis assist. Owen Dingman scored on a Jack Carver assist in a man-up opportunity with 7:15 left in the first, and Conor Healy scored on a Carlson assist with 4:39 remaining, giving UMW a 3-0 advantage.

After Marymount scored to open the second, UMW reeled off seven straight. Mike Mrson scored with 12:15 showing, and Shane McKenzie followed with an unassisted score with 10:56 left. Chase Kapuscienski followed at 9:10, and Carver tallied with 7:09 remaining.

Healy scored on a Davis feed with 6:12 left, and Dingman followed at 5:25 on another Davis assist. Robert Tata capped the first half scoring at 4:52 on a Marson assist.

Marymount erupted for six unanswered scores in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 10-7, but the Eagles regained control with three straight to start the fourth. Davis scored on a McKenzie pass with 14:18 left, and Carver scored on a Davis assist 1:04 later. Davis scored on a Dingman assist with 11:12 left.

After Marymount scored to stem the tide, Carlson scored with 6:44 on the clock on a McKenzie assist, and Kapuscienski followed at 3:46. Two late Saints goals trimmed the final to 15-10.

The Eagles led in shots, 49-33, and ground balls, 60-43. The Eagles win 18 of 27 faceoffs, and caused eight broken clears. Billy Senicola and Sam Wasson each had four saves, with Lucas Whittie adding two in relief.

Mary Washington will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Frostburg State University in a CAC Tournament first round matchup at 4 p.m. at the Battleground.
