YORK, Pa. – Salisbury was selected as the unanimous choice to three-peat in the CAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' poll. The Sea Gulls received eight first-place votes and 64 points to enter the 2016 season as the favorite.

Frostburg State, which advanced to last year's title game for the first time in program history, received one first-place vote and totaled 55 points to rank second in the poll. York was third with 48 points, followed by Christopher Newport (44 points), Mary Washington (39 points) and St. Mary's (28 points) in the top six.

Marymount finished seventh with 23 points, with Wesley (15 points) and Southern Virginia (8 points) rounding out the poll in eighth and ninth, respectively.

In the 23-year history of CAC men's lacrosse, Salisbury has captured 19 conference crowns including two in a row. The Sea Gulls went on to represent the CAC in the NCAA Tournament last year, advancing to the quarterfinals before falling to eventual national runner-up Lynchburg, 13-11.

Salisbury, Frostburg State and York each enter the year receiving preseason recognition, with the Sea Gulls ranked in the top five by both the USILA and Lacrosse Magazine, and the Bobcats and Spartans receiving votes in the USILA poll.
