UMW Men's Lacrosse Falls at Salisbury, 11-4, in Saturday CAC Action

The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team dropped an 11-4 decision at Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference play. The Eagles fall to 4-3 on the season.

The Sea Gulls jumped ahead early, taking a 4-0 lead through one quarter. UMW's Owen Dingman opened the scoring in the second quarter, and Salisbury scored once in the frame to take a 5-1 lead to halftime.

In the third, Jared Krikorian scored to cut the deficit to 5-2, but Salisbury scored five straight to up the lead to 10-2. Jack Bondurant scored with 11:27 left in the fourth, and Mike Marson scored one minute later to close the gap to 10-4, but Salisbury capped the scoring with 4:37 left.

Salisbury led in shots, 32-23, and ground balls, 33-20. Colin Bressan had 10 saves in goal for the Eagles.

Mary Washington will return to action next Saturday when they host York College at 1:00 p.m.
