UMW Men's Golf Shoots 298 on Opening Day of Tom Kinder Invitational

The University of Mary Washington men's golf team shot an opening round 298 on Monday at the Tom Kinder Invitational in Harrisonburg, Va., good for third place with one round remaining.

The Eagles were led by junior Phillip Manceri, who shot a 72 to tie for sixth place after 18 holes, and junior Zach Kaylor, who posted a 74. Sebastien Bonte and Ethan Kelly each shot a 76, and Jason Guintu posted a 78 for the Eagles. Junior Brendan Kelly shot a 77 as an individual in the competition.

Play will conclude on Tuesday, weather permitting.
