UMW Men's Golf Finishes Second at VSGA Intercollegiate Championship; Bonte Ties for Third Overall

The University of Mary Washington men's golf team finished as the runner up at the 68th Virginia State Golf Association's Intercollegiate Championship on Monday and Tuesday, with freshman Sebastien Bonte finishing tied for third overall at +2.

The Eagles finished with a combined +27 overall through two days, including a 297 on Tuesday, which was three shots clear of the field. In all, they shot a 595, three shots behind Virginia Wesleyan College, in the 18-team field.

Bonte shot a 71-73=144 for the event, tying for third, while sophomore Jason Guintu finished T-17th with a 74-74=148. Sophomore Philip Manceri finished T-26th at 77-74=151, with sophomore Ethan Kelly shooting 76-76=152 in placing T-33.
