UMW Men's Golf Finishes First at Two-Day Myrtle Beach Kickoff Tournament; Eagles Shoot 305 on Sunday

The University of Mary Washington men's golf team finished in first place among six teams with a two-day aggregate 609 at the Myrtle Beach Kickoff Invitational, played Sunday at Burning Ridge Golf Club. The championship is the first for the program since becoming a varsity sport this season.

Ethan Kelly was the top finisher and co-medalist on Sunday at -1, and placed third overall for the event. Phillip Manceri shot an even par 72 today, and landed in second place overall. Jason Guintu shot a 76 on Sunday after shooting a 76 on Saturday, ending with 152, good for fourth overall. Brendan Kelly shot an 86 on Sunday as well.

The team will be back in action on March 18-19 at the Eagle Invitational at Augustine Golf Club in Stafford.
