UMW Men's Golfers Post 303 on Day Two of Bay Creek Invitational; Finshes One Stroke Out of Second

The University of Mary Washington men's golf team posted a 303 on day two of the Bay Creek Invitational on Tuesday in Cape Charles, Va., to finish the event in third place with a 609, one shot shy of second place Virginia Wesleyan College. UMW's 303 on Tuesday was one shot from top honors for the day, as Christopher Newport, the event champion, shot a 302.

Junior Marcus Cigna and freshman Jason Guintu were the Eagles' medalists for the day, shooting a 75, while Philip Manceri shot a 76, and Ethan Kelly posted a 77.

For the event, Manceri brought home top honors for the Eagles, shooting a 150, followed by Guintu with a 152, and Ethan Kelly with a 153.

The Eagles will be back in action on October 10-11 at the Ted Keller Invitational in Ashland, Va.
