The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the holiday break of the 2022-23 men's basketball season. Mary Washington senior Greg Rowson earned C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades for the second straight week.
Senior Greg Rowson had a memorable winter break for Mary Washington, leading the 20th ranked Eagles to a 3-0 record, scoring his 1,000th career point, and leading the Eagles to the Washington and Lee Holiday Tournament title. Rowson opened the break by playing just 16 minutes in a 68-46 victory over Merchant Marine at Randolph-Macon, scoring six points in 16 minutes. On December 29, Rowson scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in an 84-62 win over TCNJ, and then netted 27 points, including his 1,000th, as the Eagles overcame a 20-point first half deficit to top Washington and Lee, 103-95, in double overtime. He also hauled in 10 rebounds in the game. For the break, he netted 18.3 PPG, shooting 48.7% from the floor (19-39), making 6-16 three pointers, and 11-16 free throws. He averaged 6.3 rebounds and three assists per game as well.
