The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2021 men's basketball season. Mary Washington senior guard Anias Saunders earned C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades.

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Anias Saunders - Mary Washington

Anias Saunders led Mary Washington to the title at the Albright College Holiday Tournament, averaging 29.5 points per game, to go with 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in a pair of Eagles wins, as he was named the tournament MVP. He scored 29 points on 10-18 shooting in a 77-48 win over Goucher, and also added 13 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. He then poured in 30 points in an 85-69 win over the hosts in the title game on 11-19 shooting, and added four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. For the week, he shot 56.8% from the field (21-37), including 52.6% from three point range (10-19), and made 7-8 free throws.
