Riester Repeats as CAC Basketball Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its Jan. 6, 2014, weekly award winners:

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Mary Washington senior guard BRADLEY RIESTER (Richmond, Va./Monacan) and Marymount senior forward REED SCOTT (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) were chosen as the CAC Men’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week for Jan. 6, 2014.

Riester led Mary Washington to a CAC victory over York last Saturday with game-highs of 28 points and nine rebounds. He shot 63.6% from three-point range (7-for-11), adding two steals and two assists in the win.

Scott helped the Saints to 1-1 record last week, posting averages of 23.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 77.3% from the floor. Against 23rd-ranked St. Mary’s, he tallied a career-high 31 points to go along with eight rebounds, shooting 10-for-12 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc.
