The University of Mary Washington men's basketball team, off to a 7-1 start and winners of five straight, received votes in this week's D3Hoops.com national poll, finishing just outside the top 25 with 38 votes.
UMW defeated then-#9 St. Mary's College on Saturday, 66-64, for the program's first-ever win over a top-10 ranked opponent. UMW will host #10 Virginia Wesleyan College today at 5:00 p.m. at the Anderson Center.
