Bonte Finishes 2nd as UMW Men's Golf Finishes 6th at VSGA Collegiate

Senior Sebastien Bonte finished in second place overall as the University of Mary Washington men's golf team finished sixth at the Virginia State Golf Association's Collegiate Championship on Wednesday in Williamsburg. 

Bonte finished with a -1 (107) in the 27 hole event, three strokes out of first. Senior Andrew Halmrast finished tied for ninth at +3 (111), sophomore Josh Quarles was 24th at +10 (118), freshman Jacob Dunaway finished 37th at +16 (124), and Blake Davis was T-40th at +19 (127). 

Christopher Newport won the title with a +5 (437), followed by Bridgewater at +16 (448) and Randolph-Macon at +22 (454).

The men will next compete on April 17 at Hampden-Sydney College.
