UMW Men's Golf Finishes Second at UMW Eagle Invitational

The University of Mary Washington men's golf team finished in second place at the UMW Eagle Invitational, hosted this weekend by the Eagles and Augustine Golf Club.

On Sunday, the Eagles were led by freshman Phillip Manceri, who shot a +3 74. Manceri led the Eagles after two days, with a +7 149. Freshman Ethan Kelly shot a +9 80 on Sunday, for a cumulative +11 153. Freshman Jason Guintu shot a 78 on Sunday en route to a 154 (+12). Austin Matz shot an 81 en route to a +21. Brendan Kelly shot a 79 on Sunday for a +22 total.

NC Wesleyan won the event with a +31 aggregate, followed by UMW with +49, and Marymount at +131.

The Eagles will be back in action on May 27 at the Lynchburg College Invitational at Poplar Grove Golf Club.
