Regan McLaughlin Named Assistant Field Hockey Coach at UMW

Regan McLaughlin joins the UMW field hockey staff for the 2014 season. A two-time All-America defender at Rhodes College, McLaughlin will assist in all aspects of the program for head coach Lindsey Elliott.

An all-district, all-region, and All-Met defender at W.T. Woodson, McLaughlin graduated in 2010, and has served a number of assistant coaching positions, even while starring at Rhodes. Her teams at Rhodes were successful on the national stage, and she gained All-America honors in 2012 and 2013.

“I am so thrilled for Regan to have the opportunity to coach at the collegiate level, she will certainly be an asset to the Mary Washington Athletics Community", said Rhodes head coach Jane Wells. "A four time Conference Champion, three time Conference Defensive Player or the Year, and two time All American at Rhodes, Regan will bring a wealth of talent and experience to the Eagles coaching staff. Regan’s skills and understanding of the game are overshadowed only by her charismatic personality, infectious optimism, and fun loving demeanor.”
