Three UMW Field Hockey Players Named to VaSID All-State Team; Hopkins Gains 1st Team Honors

University of Mary Washington junior forward Lauren Hopkins continued to amass postseason honors on Wednesday, as she was named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors' College Division All-State Team. Junior Lexie Dixson and senior Gillian Ross were named to the second team.

Hopkins scored 32 points on 14 goals and four assists this season. She adds all-state honors to all-region and all-conference accolades.

Dixson scored one goal and added four assists in the Eagle midfield. Ross scored four goals and added five assists from her defender position.

The VaSID All-State Teams are coordinated and voted on by the state's sports information directors.
