The Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad was announced on Thursday with 1,604 student-athletes making the list and 148 schools with representation.
The Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad includes all student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or greater through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year. There were 208 members of the Division III National Academic Squad who were also named Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction on Thursday for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or greater through the first semester.
Mary Washington was represented on the squad by Alyssa Bilkovski, Mackenzie Burnett, Jessica Cavolt, Meredith LeBel, Gillian Ross, and Noor Varjabedian.
LeBel was one of 208 honrees for the scholars of distinction, carrying a 3.9 GPA or better.
