University of Mary Washington seniors Jenna Steele and Haley Kane have been named as All-America selections by Longstreth and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Steele, a first team selection, gains All-America honors for the first time, while Kane, a two-time All-American, was named to the third team.
Steele ended her career as UMW's all-time leader in goals (69) and points (163), after scoring 23 goals and adding four assists this season. The 2015 CAC Player of the Year, Steele gained all-region honors for the fourth straight year, and third straight time on the first team. She was a first team All-CAC selection as well.
Kane gains All-America honors for the second straight year, after collecting all-region honors for the fourth straight time after finishing third in school history in assists. She finished with 36 goals and 28 assists, good for 100 career points. She was a first team all-conference pick as well.
