YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington junior Kathleen Namey and York senior Katie Petrillo were named the CAC Field Hockey Players of the Week for Nov. 3, 2014.

Mary Washington junior Kathleen Namey was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring both goals in a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Christopher Newport last Wednesday, helping the Eagles gain the No. 2 seed in the CAC Tournament. She netted the tying score with seven minutes left in regulation, and secured the game winner just over two minutes into overtime.

York senior Katie Petrillo earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping the Spartans to a pair of wins, including a road win at St. Mary's in the first round of the CAC Tournament on Sunday. Petrillo began the week with a pair of defensive saves in the Spartans' 3-2 overtime win over Frostburg State in the Spartans' regular season finale. She now has eight defensive saves on the year, which ranks second in the CAC. She also added a goal in the win. In the first round triumph over St. Mary's, Petrillo and the York defense held the Seahawks scoreless and limited them to just six shots on goal. Petrillo added an assist on the Spartans second goal.
