UMW's Badis Named CAC Defensive Player of the Week

The Capital Athletic Conference announced its Sept. 30, 2013, weekly award winners:


FIELD HOCKEY
        Mary Washington junior goalie EMILY BADIS (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) was selected as the CAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 30, 2013.

        Badis was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after rejecting a career-high 15 attempts as the eighth-ranked Eagles defeated 13th-ranked Catholic, 1-0, for the team’s fifth shutout of the season.
